BADGE AND COMPANY: SAME (German Greentree) 2008 Terrific reissue of Midwest psych/blues/rock of extreme rarity in vinyl form.Digipak cover…Slow burns of “It’s a Cryan Shame”, “Slow Me Down”, “For you” SEALED
Haven’t spent time to find out what the story on these guys is yet, but here is an album of southern boogie rock in the vein
of Brownsville Station. Fave tracks are the opener ‘It’s A Cryin’ Shame, and closer ‘For You’, which are harder-rocking and less predictably-styled rock’n roll.
A mention must go to the flawless production and playing skills, an extra half-star awarded for this. This could easily have been released on a big label, and had success.
