FUSE “Same” pre Cheap Trick!

 Fuse’s only album from 1969 is a pretty good mix of hard rock, progressive rock and psychedelia. Even if the songwriting isn’t anything exceptional the songs are still very entertaining. The instrumental work is solid through the whole album. The guitar playing is quite strong.

There are no clear standout moments because all of the songs are pretty good. None of them is a masterpiece but they’re all highly enjoyable. Fuse’s S/T only LP gets4.5 stars from me. It’s pretty close to five stars but then again I’ve heard a lot more original heavy psych/hard prog albums over the years than this one. This is still worth checking out for everyone who enjoy this kind of music. Pre Cheap Trick with Rick Nielsen and Tom Peterson.
