GENESIS “LIVE” (U.S. CHARISMA) 1973-74 Jacket VG++ moderate wear to edges and spine, mild surface wear, no splits, readable spine. Original generic inner sleeve included. Vinyl VG++with light scuffs and VERY light scratches, great shape! Excellent in the studio, the ‘classic Genesis lineup’ was just as excellent, if not better, live. The performances are excellent, and while they stay true to the songs, they also get creative and take the songs to new places.

Live, the band’s first live album and only band-sanctioned live release with original vocalist Peter Gabriel, features 5 of their early standards, all executed wonderfully, particularly “Watcher of the Skies” and “The Musical Box”. The recording isn’t quite as good as later live outings, but it’s still a great-sounding offering.

A definite keeper for the classic Genesis fan (the Invisible Touch Club can safely avoid this one) or any fan of well-delivered ‘art rock’.
