Reparata & The Delrons
This group led by Mary Aiese, currently (O’Leary) aka, Reparata, is one of the most sadly underrated groups in the history of Rock & Roll/ Pop/ Do-Wop. This album was done under the most difficult circumstances imaginable, yet still managed to score a bonified hit single “Whenever A Teenager Cries.) Produced by Harry Lookofsky with Steve & Bill Jerome, arranged by John Abbott, this is the same team that is responsible for “Walk Away Renee” and “Pretty Ballerina” for The Left Banke. The album is an excellent example of 1960’s Girl Group rock. It has given me much pleasure by reawakening that undeniable sound and feel of the early to mid 60’s. All the songs are recorded and produced in the most professional manner and Mary (Reparata) Aiese-O’Leary sounds absolutely great within
this obscure gem.
