Dylan has a feel to his music that few can match. This album, Desire, gives out an aura of pure adventure and emotion, with each song taking you on a separate journey. “Joey” is absolutely heartbreaking, with hypnotically poetic lyrics that haunt you for hours after you hear the song. “Romance In Durango” puts you on a musical high, making you feel like, just for five minutes, everything will be all right. If music doesn’t move you, it’s not doing its job. His lyrics are so poignant, his voice as raw and simple as his words are beautiful and complex. The transport that a person experiences when listening to this album music is almost hallucinatory it’s so profound. Though it’s hard to choose favorites when it comes to Dylan, Desire is mine. There isn’t a bad song in the bunch.
