Real nice CLEAN, top copy. You will be hard pressed to find one nicer!! 100% Guaranteed NOT a re-issue, re-print or reproduction of any kind The music though, is an exciting exercise in uptempo, horn-inflected pop/rock/soul songcraft, with the occasional pause for a romantic ballad. Imagine The Buckinghams after a shot of adrenaline, and you have a basic idea of the CNS sound.
What’s here is quite good, if a little undifferentiated. Most of the songs only differ in their relative positions on the pop-rock continuum. It’s often derivative: “Comin’ to Get Ya” offers James Brown-style vocals and horn charts, while “I’m My Own Keeper” sounds a bit too much like the Supremes, and “Welcome Back Girl” sounds more like Jay and the Americans than Jay and the Americans. What keeps the album interesting is the band’s knack for melody.
