Ferguson Hulitt “Mushroom Palace” Release on Kiva Records this cd is the culmination of Brian Hulitt’s personal journey into psychedelia splattered with drugs, alcohol, personal demons and women. Crafted for his Void fans the lp starts off with the title track Mushroom Palace, Here’s a lyric sample: The Mushroom Palace I ran inside today is a place of cosmic sadness few would want to stay, Just a tiny Mushroom is your ticket in….also terrific is The Essence” a drug chanted whispered rocker by Hulitt. The guitar playing by Mr. Ferguson throughout is top notch and probably the best song is an odd folk country tune “Without a Face” sung by Ferguson. A two man job here that sounds like it could have been released in 1969….
