Nearly perfect debut album by the great Canadian band with West Coast sound that is somewhat similar to music of Kak, Love, or Moby Grape. Melodic songs with excellent guitar, sometimes heavy, pleasant solo and harmony vocals, some psychedelic touches. Most of the songs are good or great but a few small missteps lower the grade for me – there are 2 country-flavored songs (Little Pony, Pot o’ Gold) that don’t really fit in with the rest and the poetry track breaks the flow of the music. These shortcomings are really not all that bad and this is still one classic album that is recommended
