MOXY “MOXY II” TORONTO HARD ROCKERS NICE COPY!

MOXY “II” (U.S. Mercury SRM-1-1115) 1976 NICE VG++/VG++ of great hard rock band getting a little funky on this lp. Opening with a hint of Southern rock inspiration on “Cause There’s Another”, side one of _Moxy II_ lays out a set of short songs, compared to the group’s amped-up debut album. The funky side is showcased on “Take It or Leave It”, as well as “Through the Storm”. The two-minute blast of “One More Heartache” carries a heavy Led Zep vibe, while a blues based instrumental fills out the first side of _II_. “Midnight Flight” captures the Toronto based quintet doin’ their best Ted Nugent impersonation, while the mellow “Change in My Life” contrasts the full-blown intro cut from side two. A hot summer vibe prevails throughout the upbeat “Tryin’ Just For You”. The boys bring the album to a conclusion with the James Gang sounding “Wet Suit”, which features backing vocals by the “Wisconsin Kid”
