Aviator – S/T – EMI 1978 – Sealed – Bloodwyn Pig Sealed (loose shrink, but LP is still sealed, punch hole) pretty good ex Blodwyn Pig H Recorded in 1978, it was by nature, doomed to suffer a similar fate to that of its contemporaries in the semi-comm prog arena at that time- disintegrating interest, if not down-right scorn. But this is among the few that do not deserve it. With its all-star cast of former prog heavyweights, the album puts forth fairly decent material that is moderately hard, and consistently decent. Yes, it does contain some rather slick production, and an overall commercial orientation. But at least the song writing has a few solid ideas, and their use of reeds, more or less throughout, adds to the appeal. Hardcore underground rock fans would probably do best to steer clear of this. But depending on your tolerance for commercial production, there might be something here to enjoy.
