THE COLLECTORS “SAME” (U.S.GREEN WB/7ARTS) 1968 CVR VG++ NICE GOOD COLOR DISC VG+ TO ++ SOME SCUFFS AND LITE SCRATCHES, NOT FEELABLE

I was really impressed with this record. At first, I was put off by the Tom Jones-esque places that the singer sometimes went but the material is strong enough to overcome it. The first 5 songs are all good, with perhaps A4 and A5 being the best of the lot. But, it is the sidelong B that really steals the show. Coming in at a whopping 19 minutes, some may say that it is way too long but the thing is chock full of psych goodies. Yeah, the track has a ton of things crammed in but it’s excellent and keeps you on your toes and guessing throughout. Overall, perhaps not a record that will beat everyone over the head with greatness but I found it to be quite exceptional.(PRE CHILLIWACK)
