The Doors released eight studio albums in their career and this is the last one if you don’t count An American Prayer which was released under Jim’s name in 1978. Jim Morrison had left the group in 1971 and the remaining members of The Doors released Other Voices in the same year without Morrison. It’s a good record and so is this one too. Manzarek and Krieger are singing and Densmore is smashing drums as always.
This album includes many great pieces. Especially “Get up and Dance”, “Verdilac”, “The Mosquito” and “It Slipped My Mind” are stand-out tracks. Here is also one cover song which is “Good Rockin'”. All of the songs are pretty solid and entertaining and this album is once again a quite good package. One thing I miss the most in this album and in Other Voices is that the mysterious and dark charisma of Jim Morrison is missing. I also miss his voice a lot. But as I said this album is enjoyable.
