Very seldom discussed Montréal prog-a-delic masterwork featuring some of my favorite cheap sounding organ blimps & guitar tones working side by side! To me sort of reminiscent of Day Blindness without the blues flavor, a hint of Phluph vibes & early Soft Machine as a reference guide. Ranging from soft, melodic vocal passages, & like a light switch suddenly turning into this zany, schizoid keyboard prickling & a sufficient outpouring of fuzz. Led by a proficient drummer too, who at one point can’t seem to slow down. I would imagine they had studied/rehearsed this tunes individually for a while. Most of the songs generate towards the same idea, but glides in this direction consistently well & always keeping you around wanting more. My faves include the last 3 tracks from the marching rhythms of “In Between” to the harmonica inclusion closer “Stars”.
