UTAH ST. JOHN “Same” RARE PRIVATE FOLK VIBES

UTAH ST. JOHN “Same” (U.S. Pendragon) 197? Very rare private press (Pendragon 1) by Utah St. John, a duo out of the Fort Collins, Colorado area (I think). Members were “Utah” Mike McGuffey and Robert St. John. Music has a mountain folk vibe, lots of excellent string work, jazzy acoustical, at times drifting into dreamy psych, heavy work on the congas. Mike McGuffey is a hell of a guitarist. Vinyl grades VG++: a couple of thin hairlines; a tiny mark that can be felt and causes a very light click for 6-7 rotations; like-new gloss; small edge ripple bobs the tonearm a little for first track or so but tracks fine. Excellent play. Labels grade NM. No insert. Outer sleeve grades VG++: wrinkling of slick along spine has cracked in a few places; two small corner dings; no splits; no ring wear; graphics and artwork are bright and clear. Very nice copy of a Colorado obscurity. Excellent stuff!!
