Highway to Hell is the last album AC/DC recorded with Bon Scott, but what a great final album it is. I would venture to say that Highway to Hell is even better than Back in Black, and that’s saying something.

Highway to Hell is a bonafide classic of hard rock, and one of the pillars of the genre, the reason being the tracks present on the album all kickass, with swell riffs and Bon’s vocals possibly being at his very best. The band is obviously in great shape as well. In particular the first side is extraordinary, beginning with the legendary title track, and another hit of sorts in “Girl’s Got Rhythm”, but the one that sticks out the most in my mind besides the hits is the angry sounding “Beating Around the Bush”. Just listen to that guitar on this track, it sounds like it wants to kill someone…
