BOULE DE SON “Just en passant” (Canadian Private) 1975 lovely M-/VG++ copy   just a couple light marks and storage scuffs  Gentle and slightly progressive Folk Rock by this Quebec-based band, which was actually the duo of songwriters Sylvie Granger (vocals) and Daniel Lepage (vocals, acoustic piano).Still on ”Just’en passant…” there are a handful of guests on bass, drums, guitar, flute and female vocals, so Boule de Son actually sound like a proper band, as bass and drums lines are consistent throughout along with Lepage’s omnipresent piano. Songs are short with angelic female vocals by Isabelle Guzzo, ethereal melodies and minor interplays between guitar, piano and occasional flute. The atmosphere is pastoral and pretty folky with some nice vocal arrangements. Rare and pretty expensive release. From the guest list drummer Denis Toupin later played with Opus-5 and Concert (along with Opus-5’s Luc Gauthier and Christian Racine).
