HARPER and ROWE “Same”  SEALED POP PSYCH!  Label/Pressing Date:  World Pacific Records label, pressed in 1968
Manufacturer’s Catalog #:  WPS-21882, Stereo  The Harper And Rowe LP seems to have been a studio project as I can’t find any information on it.  Anyway, there’s a bunch of cool pop rock music on this platter.  They maneuver in a bunch of different directions with Sunshine Pop, Soul Rock, Pop Psych and straight up Beat Pop Rock.  The orchestration is tight and production values are solid.  Side One is strong with and starts with the catchy single worthy ‘Here Comes Yesterday Again’.   There’s some nice fuzz in ‘You And Me’.  ‘Love Machine’ could have been another single with it’s upbeat grooves.  Side Two isn’t as strong, but still is consistent.  The funky guitar moves on ‘Wake Me When It’s Over’ are quite cool.  Closer ‘Hello Sleepy Sidewalk’ has infectious hooks and chorus arrangements.
