Pete Brown & His Battered Ornaments released their strong debut album earlier in the same year. Mantle-Piece was their second studio LP and for this album they shortened their name to just The Battered Ornaments. Their first record was a very diverse mix of different musical styles. It had elements from psychedelia, blues rock, jazz and even some experimental material could be found from it. That theme is continued here..Featuring Pete Brown and the axe man Chris SPedding.
